A dead condenser, and a customer moving out in a year. Fixed by 7.30 the same evening.
Warm air in the morning, and one evening to fix it
The aircon was blowing warm air instead of cold. The customer WhatsApped us in the morning, and we slotted a troubleshooting visit for the same evening. Kamrul and Shahidul arrived at 5.45pm and got to work.
The diagnosis came quickly: the condenser unit motor was overheating, and the gas was at zero, which pointed to a leak inside the CU itself. A failing condenser is normally where the big quote comes out: a new outdoor unit, plus installation.
One question changed the answer: how long are you staying?
Before quoting anything, the team asked about her plans. She mentioned she was shifting home the following year. That changes the maths completely. A brand-new condenser is money spent on a flat she was about to leave, and the next owner would enjoy most of its lifespan.
So the guys called the office with a different idea: was there a good second-hand CU in the warehouse that matched her system? There was.
Delivering the condenser the same evening
To finish the job within the day, our team arranged the second-hand condenser and delivered it that evening. Kamrul and Shahidul swapped the unit, sorted out the gas, and tested the system on the spot.
By 7.30pm, less than two hours after the team first rang her doorbell, the fan coils were blowing cold air again.
"Told them I was shifting home the following year and they immediately checked for a secondhand CU for me. Delivered the CU so that the work could be completed within the day. By 7.30pm, FCU was running smoothly with cold air. Price is great as well."
Cold air the same day, at a price that matched her plans
She got a working aircon for her last year in the flat without paying new-unit money, and the whole thing was solved between her morning message and dinner time. Her words: service way and beyond, 100% recommended.
If a company quotes you a brand-new unit without asking how long you plan to keep the system, they are quoting for their benefit, not yours. Sometimes the right answer is a new unit, sometimes it is a careful repair, and sometimes it is a good second-hand part that gets you exactly as far as you need to go.
